The Kruger is known for its density and variety of animals and it is definitely Big 5 territory (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino). It’s not difficult to have excellent sightings of them.

And then there is the possibility of lovely sightings of cheetah, wild dogs, giraffe, zebra, warthogs, hippos, wildebeest, all sorts of beautiful antelope… all the iconic African safari animals.

Our safaris depart from the Phalaborwa Gate. We pick you up and drop you off at your Phalaborwa accommodation.

Exploring in your own private open safari vehicle is very special for it gives you the opportunity to stop and linger at whatever animal sighting or landscape view you want.

Beautiful sunrises and dramatic sunsets

The full day safari begins at sunrise, giving us the fantastic chance of seeing predators heading home after a night’s hunting, and watching the rest of the park wake up and set out for the day.

One of the great delights in Africa is its glorious sunsets. The dusty orange skies and striking silhouettes make Kruger Park sunsets breathtakingly beautiful and provide dramatic lighting for your photographs.

Why we love it

We love it because no two days in Kruger are ever the same. You never know what you are going to see each day… you might spot a leopard in a tree… or a dainty pair of antelope… or come across a solitary elephant crossing the road, only to realise you’re in fact surrounded by an entire herd.
