limpopo National park

A spectacular wilderness in Mozambique

  • an incredible place to visit

A wild and beautiful corner of Mozambique

The Limpopo National Park lies on the Mozambique side of the Limpopo River (we cross at the Pafuri Border Post). It is a spectacular and remote area of untamed wilderness.

With virtually no other tourists, the feeling of solitude in the grandeur of this African landscape is incredible.

  • fabulous landscapes and animals

Spectacular safari experiences in the Limpopo National Park

Whether we are exploring the bush, the largest fever tree forest or the vast sandy banks of the Limpopo River, the landscapes are spectacular, the animal sightings tremendous and the birding breath-taking.

Being able to explore the lagoons and great sandy banks of the Limpopo River is a very special safari experience.

  • No fences around the camps

Dumela

The safari tents are designed to provide guests with a fabulous immersive experience in the African bush. You can choose the camp in the largest fever tree forest or on the banks of the breathtaking Mugano Lagoon, both of which have tunning views of the surrounding landscape .

The fully furnished tents are very comfortable and have en-suite bathrooms. Because there are no fences you experience an authentic bush experience. Tented camping doesn’t get better than this.

  • evenings around a campfire

Self-catering = a braai for dinner

The camps are all self-catering and to be frank, that’s to our advantage as it allows you to enjoy the magic of a traditional South African braai (BBQ) in the bush after a day’s safari.

There is nothing to beat sitting around a campfire on which your utterly delicious meal has been cooked, under a star-laden sky, watching and listening to the crackle of your “bush television,” as a campfire is known in Africa, and surrounded by nothing but the bush.

Why we love it

The Limpopo River is our favourite river in southern Africa with its vast sandbanks, huge crocodile population and incredible views – and with both banks surrounded by bush.

We love Mozambique and its untouched bush and this wild corner of it truly is an untouched part of the African bush. And we love staying in the beautiful rustic safari tents; it’s as wild as camping can be.
