 Kruger Park day safaris

Day safaris are exciting and tons of fun. For this reason you have a choice… you can choose to join a shared safari – or you can choose our exclusive private vehicle option. Our day safaris all leave from the Phalaborwa Gate so we can pick you up from your Phalaborwa-based accommodation.

morning safari

Experiencing the start of a new day in the bush allows you to see the Kruger Park at its magical best. Game is active in the early morning as the rising sun signals to the animals that it’s time for the predators to settle down after a night of hunting, and the rest of the park to wake up and set out for their day’s activities. This gives us the chance of close encounters with the Big 5 and a host of other animals.

You will lose all track of time as the sun rises higher over the African bushveld. You will listen without words to the bushveld’s early morning soundtrack… the chorus of birds whose singing signals the start of another wonderful day in the bush.

half day safari

Departing either at sunrise or lunchtime, the Half Day Safari will take you deep into the Kruger Park. The thrill of an exciting half-day game drive in an open game viewing safari vehicle, with the chance of close encounters with the Big 5 and all the other animals will bring you a lifetime of memories.

One of the pleasures of being in an untamed bushveld environment is the unpredictability of what you can see, no matter the length of a safari. We may come across a pride of lions on a kill. Or a herd of giraffe browsing the tree tops. Or a hyena loping through the bush. The possibilities are endless. You will come away feeling that you have experienced the totality of the bushveld, and for half a day of your life been a part of it.

afternoon safari

The Kruger Park offers one of the few opportunities in the world to see the Big 5 (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo), as well as the abundance of other mammals, reptiles and birds all in their natural habitat… the magnificent African bush. An afternoon spent exploring this extraordinarily rich landscape is a dramatic, beautiful and breathtakingly exciting experience.

Game is active in the later afternoon and as the sun begins to set we have the opportunity of watching the daytime animals prepare for the African night and the nocturnal predators come out to hunt.

full day safari

There is little to beat a full day exploring the Kruger Park’s vast unspoiled landscapes and spectacular wildlife. Spending the entire day searching for wildlife in some of the best game viewing areas in Africa allows us the best opportunity of seeing the “Big 5” (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard), along with other amazing wildlife encounters.

It also allows you to discover the solitude and scenic splendours this iconic African destination. It is a thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime experience and will leave you with a lifetime’s memories of stunning African landscapes, unbelievable wildlife and an overwhelming sense of beauty and adventure.
